The Walter Reed Middle School has issued a statement after the Republican Party used an image of their school instead of the Walter Reed Medical Hospital. (Thanks Fingerprints Music In Long Beach, California).....
“It has been brought to the school’s attention that a picture of the front of our school, Walter Reed Middle School, was used as a backdrop at the Republican National Convention. Permission to use the front of our school for the Republican National Convention was not given by our school nor is the use of our school’s picture an endorsement of any political party or view.”Donna Tobin

Permission? It's public property! The picture was also taken from public property. No permission is needed. The principal needs to get over her ego.

View of the school gives a govermental agency endorsement of a political campaign.(ie the school system, local government or even the state government). If it were a private school it would not be an issue.
