Um. What a milestone. Yay?
A watch list of suspected and known terrorists, compiled by the US authorities, has ballooned and contains more than one million names, the American Civil Liberties Union said Monday. The ACLU said it derived that figure from a Justice Department report on the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center, which consolidates terrorist watch list information.
Are they just adding everyone who brings bottle of too much sun tan lotion?
Nobel Peace Prize winner, former South African president Nelson Mandela, was also on the list until an act of Congress removed his name [on June 26, 2008] -- the only way, according to the ACLU, to get off the list.
With one million "terrorists" are on the list, I guess I shouldn't be frightened of a little thing like an airline cutting back on safe fuel levels.
The pilots union for US Airways said Wednesday the airline is pressuring pilots to use less fuel than they feel is safe, in order to save money.US Airways Captain James Ray, a spokesman for the US Airline Pilots Association, which represents the airline's 5,200 pilots, said eight senior pilots and the union have filed complaints with the Federal Aviation Administration.
