Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers played a four-song halftime set that went American Girl / I Won't Back Down / Free Falling / Running Down A Dream. It was pretty fantastic. It was also pretty surreal to see him doing the awful pre-game interviews with the hosts. Although it was way better than Paul McCartney's infamous pregame interview, in which the legendary Beatle sang harmonies with Costas and Madden. Ugh. That was painful.
My only real complaint is the smae one I've hadfor the previous two years and it's that the sound was awful and muddled, which is totally surprising considering that this is such a major televised event. But we did love that Tom performed on a gigantic heart/guitar stage that, when lit up, looked like a giant penis. (thanks Tabloid Baby)

if your penis looks anything like that stage -- i think you have bigger problems to concern yourself with than muddled sound and awkward television interviews...

Fantastic? More like a big yawn. I'll bet it was the lowest rated halftime ever. A little more star power is needed for The Superbowl.

I’m a person, who knows what she wants. I’m not the one who has a lot of free time to write comments here and discuss stupid and silly news, like you do. It’s so funny that you all take it seriously, start thinking about it and so on. I would never spend my time on such stupidity. I just want to say that there’s a real word, where you can spread rumors and argue. Why are you doing this online? You look so funny!

it looks like a giant penis...or...and I'm really going out on a limb here, the neck and head of a large guitar.
