A panel of 600 industry figures selected the five acts to be inducted [to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame] at the annual ceremony, to be held March 10 in New York. This years inductees are:
Madonna John "Cougar" Mellencamp The Ventures Leonard Cohen The Dave Clark Five
Acts that could have made it, but didn't make the cu include The Stooges, Tina Turner, Mary Wells, Beastie Boys, Afrika Bambaataa, Chic, Donna Summer, Bon Jovi, The Smiths, Run DMC, The Cure, Depeche Mode, KISS and Black Sabbath.........

The Ventures made it in? That's awesome, I never thought they would.
And BTW, Black Sabbath are already in. Then again, it's all a joke. Who really cares.

The R'N'R hall of fame can be described simply as "Dave Clark Five over Run D.M.C."
'Cuz, ya know, "Bits and Pieces" was fucking important.
