Beirut just played three shows in New York City. Masonic Temple in Fort Greene, the Worldless Music Series at the Society for Ethical Culture and the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Surprisingly, these shows weren't nearly as blogged about as their two make-up dates at the Bowery last spring. Did you go see Zach and company this time around? What you think?
La Blogothèque filmed Beirut performing all the tracks off of their new album, The Flying Club Cup, in various locations around Brooklyn. Each track could be a future video, they're all done so well. They're still a couple more to be released, but I've posted the ones that are out so far. And yes, that's Edward Droste from Grizzly Bear singing on "Cliquot".....
Track 1 - Nantes - Shot in Brooklyn, Sept 8th, 2007
Track 4 - La Banlieue - Shot in Brooklyn, Sept 10th, 2007
Track 5 - Cliquot - Shot in Brooklyn, Sept 10th, 2007
Track 6 - Penalty - Shot in Brooklyn, Sept 9th, 2007

My boyfriend spends too much time on websites like this. I hate all those sources! They must be abandoned!
