Just hit play, lay back and be swept away by Radiohead. Their seventh album will be released in 2008. This studio version of "Arpeggi," which they played often on their 2006 mini-tour, sounds fabulous. It actually makes me think of what Radiohead could have done to fill out tracks from Thom Yorke's The Eraser.

UPDATE: According to numerous folks who have emailed, IM'd, and commented below, this version of "Arpeggi" is a live recording from the soundboard of the Ether Festival at the Royal Festival Hall in London on March 27th, 2005, in which the Nazareth Orchestra performed with Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke.

I believe this is from the Ether Festival in 2005. From atease.com:
notes: This song premiered at the Ether Festival (Royal Festival Hall, London) on March 27th 2005. Arpeggi was performed by the Nazareth Orchestra with Jonny Greenwood on the Ondes Martenot with Thom Yorke on vocals.
The live version had alot more going on, namely the entire band performing.

Doug beat me to it. This is just a recording of that Ether Festival performance. Shame on you for not knowing the difference.

not the album version. that sounds suspiciously like the live version thom and jonny did at the ether festival a while back.

Live or not, this is a band that just keeps getting further and further away from what I liked about them. I know a lot of you guys love this stuff, but man, it just doesn't do anything for me.

I was sent this from a source saying this is the studio version. If this is from the Ether Festival version, my apologies. It sounds cleaner than any bootleg I've heard.....

Steve, completely disagree. Hail to the Thief did not age well with me and I found that album to be "cold." However, I really like what I've heard so far from live boots like this and i think it bodes well for LP7. Although, an album with lift, fog, nude, and several other of their unreleased tracks would have been stellar.

i'm a big fan of the LP7 material. the first time i heard "videotape" i was very moved. plus, i love the rhythmic stuff like "down is the new up" and "15 step" and "open pick."
plus, a lot of the stuff sounds like it has genuine emotion, like "all i need" and "go slowly"
man, now i'm all excited again. 2008 can't come fast enough.

i just hope that this track (even though it's live) isn't indicative of the entire album.

Hey guys! You know what I think? I think that all written here is bullshit, real lie. They are making us believe it’s true, they are trying to express it like it was in reality. Don’t believe it if you are not insane! There’s nothing special in this site, they just express regular news with unusual words. They can make something shocking out of anything! Don’t trust them!

I saw similar post three month ago. Topicality of this post sucks. Dude, you have to keep up to date.
