SONIC YOUTH | Live at McCarren Pool, The Slits

SY_McCarren_1.jpg
Sonic Youth performed Daydream Nation at the McCarren Park Pool and it sounded amazing. Mark Ibold joined them on stage to add some more noise to the excellent mix. The entire crowd got exactly what they wanted and ate it up like a chocolate sunday. mMmmm. Soooo good. Both encores comprised of songs from 2006's excellent Rather Ripped.

The only possible complaints could have been that it was brutally hot inside the pool and the volume was not nearly as loud as your usual Sonic Youth show.

The Slits opened the show, and like Grinderman opening set at the Garden, they divided the crowd between people who absolutely loved them and people who thought that Ari Up sucked. Having seen the reunited Slits before, I wasn't totally impressed with their set, but still found them to be an excellent opening act for SY.

TWB:

Loved the Daydream Nation part but could have done without half of Rather Ripped.

My point of view may differ from the other’s, but anyway I have may things to say on this subject. First, everything here is true. Second, check the information first, then comment it

Guys you are not alone believe me. I’m absolutely agree with you. It doesn’t matter what other people would say just trust me. I know for sure that it’s about real events.
