Vibe Magazine's newest cover star, Senator Barack Obama, has been running a pretty lackluster Presidential campaign, especially compared to the straight-talk and policy-based campaign of John Edwards.
As politico's gear up for the fall frenzy, Obama has initiated an Obama Camp program. Here's what this camp is all about:
The campaign is now hosting three-day training sessions in four different locations around the country. Supporters will learn more about the campaign's vision for America and how best to get organized. After each training you will be asked to support campaign efforts in an early primary or caucus state in your region as well as build up your local grassroots efforts.The three-day sessions are for people who want a more in-depth volunteer role in the campaign. Internships will also be available to some of those who complete the three-day sessions.

What what? Obama is struggling, while edwards is thriving? Umm, what planet are you living on. Edwards loses steam with each passing day while obama has made himself an actual contender for the time-being to the wicked witch of chappaqua. They both belong running in some quasi-socialist state in europe and not a free market capitalist country, but how can you be that far off in your evaluation?

Obama is leading in a majority of the polls, but he still has not gone into detail about many of his policies.
So far, Edwards has been very direct about what he believes in, what he wants to do, how his policies will work and how he will pay for everything. Something no other candidate seems willing to openly discuss or debate.
And as far as Obama and Edwards being socialists, you have to be kidding me?! Do you know what a socialist is? Do you understand how capitalism works? Should America do away with the funding of public schools? How about transportation? How about subsidizing oil, car, farm, electricity, and various other "capitalist" enterprises? Do you prefer lobbyists write the laws that govern our country?

Basic fundamental elements of society can be provided for on a public level, I'm alright with that. Although, if any of those were privatized they would be more efficient. Every candidate on the left has socialist leanings in the sense that they look to government for solutions and as an equalizer. Imposing and legislating their moral ideals through wealth redistribution and in turn stymieing the individual, which is what brought this country its status in the first place. Edwards' "2 america's" is nothing more than pseudo-socialist propaganda based on creating a culture of entitlement and economic equalizing rather than fostering and maintaining a free society where people can prosper and fail. It's choosing to believe in government rather than granting individual responsibility, masked with PC cliches and the demonization of success. It's sad to watch and even sadder to have to be a part of. I hope within my lifetime there is a backlash to what is taking place right now.
