Carnivores rejoice! This weekend (June 9 & 10) is the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party 2007. From noon to 6pm, you can sample the most amazing bbq from all around the country. And sorry New Yorkers, but this is like the SXSW of food festivals and the Texans rule.
Music will be provided by James "Blood" Ulmer, Ryan Shaw, and a bunch of other bluegrass and rockabilly acts.
Each plate of barbecue will be $8 or you can get a “Bubba Speed Passes” for access to the special express lines, which can be purchased at the event.
After the jump is the list of pitmasters and what they'll be cooking........

Get the bubba fast pass... it's totally worth it, especially if you can get three or four people to go in on it. Circumventing those hour-long lines is the key to happiness.

Absolutely no reason to spend your time anywhere other than Southside Market and Salt Lick. Just make sure you're not in my way.

Comparing to what I’ve read about this before, it sounds absolutely impressing. I’m an old internet user, and have read a lot about this kind of stuff, but what I read here today is absolutely different.

Do you fairly think this is news? I like and read your blog to get necessary information, but sometimes melancholy kills me
